Welcome to the Salt Spring Island Tourism Media Section!  We thank you for your interest in Salt Spring Island, the largest and most populated of the Canadian Gulf Islands located in the Salish Sea between the BC Coast and Vancouver Island.  We offer a great experience for visitors who wish to enjoy scenic beauty, arts and culture, outdoor adventure and recreation, farm-to-table bounty and health & wellness services.  Situated in Provincially legislated protected wilderness areas and a part of the Gulf Island Federal Park Reserve, the people of Salt Spring Island are committed to keeping a balance between a thriving, year round tourism economy and a sustainable ecology, truly a wonderful place for people from around the world to enjoy and cherish.

There’s nothing quite like an island vacation—getting away from it all and really unplugging. Hawaii and St. Barth’s are great this time of the year. But guess what, everyone (and we mean everyone) knows those islands are great and they’re probably vacationing there right now. Wouldn’t it be better to go somewhere new, a place where you don’t have to battle with your neighbor or boss or best friend’s ex-boyfriend for a piece of sand or a table at the must-try restaurant?
