Presenting 150 Days of Fun on Salt Spring Island!
Celebrate Canada’s 150th with us at events, concerts and family friendly programs. Many events are free and will be on offer daily at various locations on Salt Spring Island – including unique venues and historical buildings. Events go through to October, 2017.
We are pleased to announce that the Salt Spring Island community will celebrate Canada’s 150th Birthday in Style! The Salt Spring Chamber of Commerce and the CRD – Salt Spring, with funding support from the Salt Spring Island Foundation, have collaborated to present: 150 Days of Fun on Salt Spring Island!
Running through the summer and into October, we will have something exciting happening for people of all ages – on offer every day! The last official week will include the opening week of SSNAP – Salt Spring National Art Prize, the 18th Annual Apple Festival and the Salt Spring Harvest Food & Drink Festival.
Community programs and events will be promoted and supported through this project including First Nations, arts, agriculture, culinary, wellness and outdoor recreation. Local residents, neighbours and visitors to our community will be invited to celebrate with us!
This initiative is made possible by the Community Fund for Canada’s 150th, a collaboration between the Salt Spring Foundation, the Government of Canada, and extraordinary leaders from coast to coast to coast.
